"We sleep with the guns," Chuck Heath said in the interview at his home in Wasilla, Alaska, where Sarah Palin was mayor.
Palin's mother, Sally Heath, admitted to the BBC that she has concerns about the safety of her daughter and grandchildren now that Sarah Palin is in the national spotlight.
"Kathy Griffin can do anything to me or say anything about me," Palin said. "She's a 50-year-old adult bully, a has-been comedian."
Griffin will soon appear on the Fox show "Glee" playing a Palin-inspired character.
Not only is Kathy Griffin a bully, she is crude and vulgar. Her comedy isn't comedy, it's pathetic ad hominem attacks for schtick. She needs to take a bar of soap and shove it in her mouth until she learns how to do something besides launch into raunchy tirades of filth.
March 07 2011 at 11:56 PM PermalinkGriffin is just a female version of Don Rickles. That is their gimmick. Rickles made a fortune off of insulting
people for generations. Is anyone forcing you to watch Griffin? No! Seems Palin has a thin skin! Sarah can throw the manure like others of her ilk, but can't take it.
GO FOR IT KATHY GRIFFIN! And Sarah Palin and her pals, along with her mean followers, must first leave the Obama's children alone. Let's pull the news clips out of their rants on the Obama's girls. We can't talk of others and we do it too! Sarah Palin is the bully and... However my heart goes out to her parents and I truly wish them peace.
March 07 2011 at 10:54 PM Permalink -19I posted two comments that were less nasty than most I have just read, and they were removed. I think the moderators are biased! 1) I enjoy Griffin's humor. 2) Bristol is an adult, willingly on national TV, therefore fair game for comedy and critics. 3) Threats should be punished by the max extent of the law. 4) Where does Sarah find time for anything like politics? She has a special needs child who needs his MOM'S time! Sarah ought to spend the next 15-20 yrs tending to her son's needs and developing her diplomatic skills out of public scrutiny.
March 07 2011 at 10:46 PM Permalink +1She's a comedian and jokes are jokes. I remember Don Rickles in Las Vegas walking up to overweight women and making fun of their "fluffiness". Embarrassing, yes, but if you can't handle that type of humor then maybe you should play the slots. As for this Griffin person, if that's her occupation and if we don't like her humor, we change the channel or we don't frequent her comedy clubs. That simple.
March 07 2011 at 11:55 PM PermalinkI am not a Palin supporter, but her description of Kathy Griffin as an "adult bully" couldn't be any more accurate. I'd go further and lump her with others the human race could do without, like Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Rosie O'donnell and Rosanne Barr to name the worst !
March 07 2011 at 10:39 PM Permalink +28It's always over-the-top when candidates children are attacked. Kathy Griffin is rude, crude, and disgusting. Who cares what she or any other entertainer thinks. Why would we allow their opinions to take precedence over our own? They need to stick to entertaining and leave politics alone. Their opinions are no better than mine.
March 07 2011 at 10:38 PM Permalink +29I think Kathy Griffin is extremely mean to Bristol Palin. I, certainly, don't like Sara Palin, but to criticize a young girl because she is a little overweight is really OFF LIMIITS! Even the troops booed her on that one!!!
If I'm not mistaken didn't little Miss Kathy have some cosmetic surgery. Gee, even she's not perfect. I can't watch her. She's NOT funny!!!
Isn't it sad these folks or anyonelse have to worry about death threats? Did we not learn anything from the horrible attack suffered in Tucson against House Rep. Gabby Gifford and her constituents? Why make everything so personal. Let's debate issues and reality and forget the hate speech. Kathy Griffin needs to find something truly humorous to present.
March 07 2011 at 10:27 PM Permalink +30If Palin wants her kids out of it, then she should make her stay out of the limelight. She's wanting her to have a career so badly to support her & the baby. Now, heard the girl is in Phoenix buying a big house & looking for a radio show? Give me a break. She has no talent of any kind, so why would her mother promote her, then say to leave her alone? Palin leaves no one alone with the targets she had on the internet prior to the shooting of the Democrat politician in Tuscon, so I don't get why her whole family should be left out of things, when she herself condemns other's all the time?
March 07 2011 at 10:26 PM Permalink -17The "target" business is just plain nonsense. Politicians from either party have been using that type of rhetoric for years, it doesn't encourage anyone to start shooting. Now, lets go back a bit, seems tremendously more offensive that someone was on the national news for hanging a Sarah Palin effigy at Halloween. He wasn't even made to take it down. I am not a Palin fan but please, everyone get over your hatred of the woman and move on.
March 07 2011 at 10:51 PM Permalink +8How very sad these two lovely people have to be treated so badly from our America. It is sad as well that the children of a former Vice-President candidate, and former Governor who just speaks out like all Americans should would be treated with such hatred and all to be threatened. What has happened to our America that people cannot be treated nicely. What ever happened to The Golden Rule? Isn't that taught anymore??
