Andrea Patiño is a Cultural Anthropology major at Duke University, where she is also pursuing a minor in Art History and a certificate in Policy Journalism and Media Studies. Andrea was born and grew up in Bogota, Colombia. When she was seventeen she moved to Flekke, Norway to finish high school at the Red Cross Nordic United World College. She discovered her passion for journalism as a columnist for Duke's newspaper, The Chronicle, where she covered issues relating to immigration and race and spent time interviewing Duke employees. Andrea also enjoys photography, traveling, good friends, family, messy cities and eating ice-cream by the peaceful Norwegian fjords.
