The new Star Trek movie came out today, an occasion which, for me, entails a pile of presents and a tree. Imagine my shock and outrage, then, when I saw this headline at The Daily Beast:Making 'Star Trek' CoolExcuse me, "Making?!?!" The clear implication is that Star Trek's default position is something other than "cool." John Ziegler Cuffed, Stuffed for Covering Katie Couric Journalism Award

John Ziegler, the provocateur behind "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Sarah Palin was Targeted," tried to cover attendees of the Walter Cronkite Awards Dinner, but was met with forcible resistance. Campus police at USC set up a barricade for Ziegler that would have prevented him from having access to attendees.
