Heather Somerville is a Masters of Science candidate at the Northwestern University Medill School of Journalism with a background in investigative reporting on urban affairs and immigration. She currently reports from the university's Washington, DC bureau on National Security issues with a focus on climate change, preparedness, cybersecurity and defense. Heather is a McCormick Foundation scholarship recipient and a member of Medill’s National Security Journalism initiative.
