    Luisita Lopez Torregrosa, a former editor at The New York Times and magazine writer, is an adjunct professor at Columbia's Graduate School of Journalism and at Fordham's Latin American and Latino Studies Institute. She was an assistant national editor and assistant styles editor at The Times and was an assistant foreign editor at The Philadelphia Inquirer. She's the author of "The Noise of Infinite Longing," a memoir (HarperCollins, 2004). She is working on a second book. Torregrosa has written for Vanity Fair, where she was a contributing editor, Condé Nast Traveler and The Times. She has lived in Manila and Tokyo and has reported from the Philippines and Japan, Rio de Janeiro, Seoul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Madrid, and Havana. She lives in New York City.
