Lynn Joyce Hunter is a therapist who works with low-income children and their families in the Bluegrass region of Kentucky. She and her husband David, a classicist and historian of early Christianity, are empty-nester parents of two young adult sons. Before her training as a social worker, Lynn was an art director and editor for a publishing house and taught college-level English. She traces her initial negative reaction to the name of this blog to an unfortunate early experience with the singing group "Up with People."
