Mary WinterMary Winter, a copy editor for Politics Daily, has worked in seven newsrooms in Arizona, Texas and Colorado.
She spent the bulk of her career at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, where she oversaw legislative coverage and wrote a weekly personal column for 10 years.
In 1999, Winter left the news business to launch www.blacktie-denver.com, a company that promotes galas and other fund-raisers for nonprofits.
She returned to the Rocky Mountain News in 2001 and continued her award-winning "Right at Home" column focusing on sustainable living, homebuilding trends and any other topic that struck her fancy.
