Matt Negrin, a senior at Boston University, was the editor of his independent student newspaper for two semesters. He has reported for the Washington bureau of
The Boston Globe and has been a congressional correspondent for the New Hampshire Union Leader. He has also worked as an intern for the Hartford Courant, and most recently was an intern in the Tokyo bureau of the Associated Press. In the summer, he will be working on the copy desk of
The New York Times. Finally, he is (slowly) writing a book about the importance of independence for college newspapers.
