Michelle Brafman is a D.C. fiction writer and teacher. Her short stories have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and Best New American Voices 2009 and have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. She teaches creative writing at The George Washington University.

In a prior life, Michelle was an award winning documentary filmmaker and television producer for America's Most Wanted. She lives in Glen Echo, Maryland with her husband and two children.
