Prior to working in journalism, she was a Capitol Hill staffer for nine years.
She graduated from Vanderbilt University and holds a master’s degree with honors from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. She has written for The New York Times Wire Service, appears regularly as a political analyst in national media, including CNN, MSNBC and Fox News Channel, and speaks frequently on new media, women voters and politics.
