Patrick Dillon

 Patrick Dillon is a Pulitzer Prize-winning writer, author and editor. He was executive editor of California Monthly Magazine. He also has written for the Christian Science Monitor and Los Angeles Times.

He was editor of Forbes ASAP, where he edited Pat Conroy, Reynolds Price, Sherwin Nuland, George Plimpton, P.J. O’Rourke, Christopher Buckley, Ann Patchett, George Gilder, Tom Wolfe, Mark Helprin and Diane McWhorter. He has won numerous awards, including a share of the Pulitzer Prize in 1989. He directed web content for Quokka Sports, the digital broadcaster of sporting events, including the Whitbread Round the World yacht race and the Sydney Olympics.

He also was the assistant managing editor of a large metropolitan newsroom—that of the San Jose Mercury News and was editor of West, the newspaper’s award-winning Sunday magazine. His columns and essays have appeared in more than 100 newspapers, including the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune and Fast Company magazine and Coastal Living magazine. He is the author of a satirical novel The Last Best Thing and the non-fiction book Lost at Sea, proclaimed one of the best non-fiction books of 1998, and is co-author, along with Carl M. Cannon, of Circle of Greed, The Spectacular Rise and Fall of the Lawyer Who Brought Corporate America to its Knees. He has been a frequent guest on CNN and National Public Radio.
