Mark Kirk in the race for the Senate, although by a statistically insignificant margin, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted March 8. Giannoulias is leading by 44 percent to 41 percent, with 5 percent preferring another choice and 10 percent undecided. The margin of error is 4.5 points. Mark Kirk, 42 percent to 34 percent with 24 percent undecided, according to a Public Policy Polling survey conducted Jan. 22-25. A PPP poll last spring had Giannoulis and Kirk tied.
