By Theunis Bates - AOL NewsLONDON (Nov. 25) -- Almost seven years after Britain joined the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and amidst a still blazing public debate, a government-appointed panel has launched a sweeping investigation into why the country went to war and why British forces were so poorly prepared for the chaos that followed the fall of Saddam Hussein.
