Marshall Leads Democratic Pack for N.C. Senate Nomination, but Most Voters Are Undecided

North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall leads the field of Democrats hoping to challenge Republican Sen. Richard Barr in the fall, but at this point in the campaign, "undecided" tops Marshall by more than a 2-to-1 margin, according to a Public Policy Polling survey conducted March 12-15. Marshall musters 20 percent in the poll, followed by former state Sen. Cal Cunningham at 16 percent and lawyer and Democratic fundraiser Kenneth Lewis at 11 percent.
