In April 2001, the Cessna with Jim and Veronica Bowers and their two children aboard was mistaken for a drug smuggling plane by the Peruvian Air Force, which was working with the CIA on an anti-narcotics mission. Report: Blackwater Guards Used in Secret CIA Raids
By Christopher Weber - Politics DailyPrivate guards from the security firm Blackwater Worldwide participated in secret CIA raids against militants and helped transport detainees in Iraq and Afghanistan, it was reported Friday. Intelligence officials and former Blackwater employees told The New York Times the guards regularly took part in so-called "snatch and grab" operations to capture or kill insurgents from 2004 to 2006.
