Day One of my trip to Denver was starting to look like kind of a bust. An anti-war demonstrator accosted Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice as she arrived to testify before the House Foreign Affairs Committee earlier today. The protester, who's hands were painted red, shouted "war criminal" before being dragged away.Rice testified on schedule. She fielded questions about the treatment of Maher Arar, a Canadian citizen wrongly accused of terrorism. Arar was imprisoned and tortured in Syria. Rice conceded that the case was handled poorly.
