The marquee matchup on Connecticut's ballot pits Republican Linda McMahon, former pro wrestling executive and first-time candidate, against Democrat Richard Blumenthal, who's been the state's attorney general for five terms. The winner will get the Senate seat vacated by scandal-plagued Democrat Chris Dodd, who withdrew from the race earlier this year and announced his intention to retire.In the race to replace retiring Republican Gov. Jodi Rell, GOP nominee Tom Foley faces Democrat Dan Malloy.Connecticut has five representatives in the U.S. House – all Democrats – and all of them are favored to win re-election. Obama won Connecticut in 2008.
