NY Gov. David Paterson Likely to Avoid Charges in Aide's Domestic Case

New York Democratic Gov. David Paterson's involvement in a top aide's domestic violence case betrayed poor judgment but did not rise to the level of a criminal offense, a retired judge investigating the matter says in a report. Former New York State Appeals Court Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye, in findings released Wednesday, said Paterson engaged in "inappropriate conduct" in his contact with the alleged victim, according to the New York Times.
