(July 5) -- A U.S. astronaut orbiting 200 miles above Earth has sent a Fourth of July message home to America via Twitter. NASA astronaut Douglas Wheelock is one of three Americans living in a Russian module aboard the international space station. He wished his country a happy Independence Day on Sunday and sent photos of his celebration. "Happy 4th of July! On June 10, 1776, the Continental Congress appointed a committee made up of Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Robert R. Livingston and Roger Sherman to draft a declaration of independence from England. Jefferson was the one who actually wrote the declaration, (taking his sweet time) from June 11 to June 28, 1776, and it seems he was making corrections to the draft as he went.
