Former Republican Rep. Scott McInnis leads Denver's Democratic mayor, John Hickenlooper, 47 percent to 41 percent with 6 percent preferring some other candidate and 6 percent undecided, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted May 11. The margin of error is 4.5 points. McInnis' margin over Hickenlooper has held steady since March. McInnis is seen favorably by 52 percent and unfavorably by 35 percent, with 13 percent not knowing enough about him to be sure of their opinion. Different Poll, Different Result: Hickenlooper Leads for Governor in Colorado

A new poll of the Colorado governor's race between Democrat John Hickenlooper, Denver's mayor, and former Republican Rep. Scott McInnis has an entirely different result than one released Monday by Rasmussen Reports. While Rasmussen had McInnis edging ahead by a 48 percent to 42 percent margin, Public Policy Polling says its survey has Hickenlooper ahead by 50 percent to 39 percent, with 11 percent undecided.
