Candy Crowley Will Host CNN's Sunday Morning Political Show
By Ria Misra - Politics DailyCNN's "State of the Union" is getting a new host -- correspondent Candy Crowley, who will replace current anchor John King starting this Sunday. Crowley is not the first woman to anchor one of the Sunday morning political talk shows, but she will be the only one currently doing so. Crowley is known for her campaign coverage, notably the 2008 general election. She is replacing King as anchor, but it was the departure of Lou Dobbs that opened up the spot. By Michelle Ruiz - AOL News(Jan. 31) -- Viewers of television's political talk shows will soon see a female face on Sunday mornings. Veteran CNN political correspondent Candy Crowley will replace John King as anchor of the network's "State of the Union," effective Feb 7. After a year of hosting the show, King plans to debut a new weeknight program on CNN in the 7pm ET slot vacated by Lou Dobbs.
