Bill Halter Makes Strong Showing Against Lincoln in Arkansas Primary Poll

Lt. Gov. Bill Halter has cut into Sen. Blanche's Lincoln's lead in their race for the Democratic senatorial nomination in Arkansas and runs more strongly than she does in match-ups with potential Republican rivals, according to a Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll conducted April 26-28. While the new poll's results have the same bottom line for Lincoln's failing fortunes, it differs in degree from a Rasmussen Reports poll released Wednesday. In that poll, Lincoln was about 20 points or more behind four of five of the Republicans and in this one, the biggest Republican margins were about half that ...

Blanche Lincoln Tumbles Further in Arkansas Senate Race

The bottom looks like it's falling out for Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln's bid for re-election in Arkansas with a new poll showing her posting her lowest numbers yet in match-ups with five Republican hopefuls. Her challenger for the Democratic nomination, Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, doesn't do much better. Lincoln's support ranges from 29 percent to 31 percent against all the GOP candidates with the biggest deficit being a contest with Rep. John Boozman, who leads her 57 percent to 29 percent with 9 percent preferring another choice and 5 percent undecided, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll ...

Lincoln's support in all the match-ups with GOP hopefuls tops out at 43 percent, and her numbers in this poll haven't moved much since last month including in her contest with Halter. The survey has Lincoln leading Halter 45 percent to 33 percent with 16 percent undecided. The ...

Poll Numbers Keep Getting Worse for Arkansas' Blanche Lincoln

All of the Republicans running for the Arkansas seat held by Democratic Sen. Blanche Lincoln are ahead of her by double-digits and four of the five are garnering 51 percent of the vote against her, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted March 30. Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, who is challenging Lincoln for the Democratic nomination, fares somewhat better, but he still trails all but one of the GOP candidates by eight points or more. Rasmussen also notes that the number of undecideds is higher in the match-ups with Halter. Sixty-one percent of voters see Lincoln unfavorably, with 43 percent ...

Lincoln Leads Dem Primary Foe in Arkansas, but Trails All Republicans

Embattled Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln is leading Lt. Gov. Bill Halter in their race for the Democratic nomination, but in general election match-ups, Halter runs more competitively than Lincoln against potential Republican opponents, according to a Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll conducted March 22-24. (This is a survey from last week on which we're playing catch-up). Lincoln leads Halter, who announced his challenge at the beginning of the month, by 44 percent to 31 percent, but with 25 percent undecided. That's despite the fact that about a third of Democrats view her unfavorably. Among all ...

Lincoln Makes Gains in Arkansas Senate Race, But GOP Still Has the Edge

Embattled Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who now has a challenger for the Democratic nomination in Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, has improved her weak numbers against Republican hopefuls running for her job, but still trails them as does Halter, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll conducted March 1. Lincoln's support against the GOP candidates ranges from 38 percent to 41 percent while Halter gets between 33 percent and 38 percent. Rep. John Boozman leads Lincoln 48 percent to 39 percent with 6 percent preferring someone else and 7 percent undecided. Last month, he led her 54 percent to 35 ...
