By Linda Gradstein - AOL NewsJERUSALEM (June 15) -- Israel's Shin Bet intelligence chief today warned that lifting the naval blockade on Gaza "would be a dangerous development for Israel." Speaking to a parliamentary committee, spy chief Yuval Diskin argued against a proposal, floated in parliament and abroad, that Gaza-bound ships be inspected in Cyprus or another international port. "It would be a huge security breach, even if ships are inspected along the way in international ports en route to Gaza," Diskin said. Germans Seek Extradition of Alleged Mossad Agent
By William Boston - AOL NewsBERLIN (June 14) -- In another twist in the alleged involvement of Israel's Mossad spy service in the killing of a Hamas leader, Germany is demanding extradition of Uri Brodsky, a suspected Mossad agent who is being held in Poland. German prosecutors have confirmed that they issued a European arrest warrant for Brodsky on accusations of espionage. Brodsky was arrested June 4 when he arrived on an international flight at the Warsaw airport. Israel is believed to have urged Poland to quietly turn Brodsky over to it rather than to the Germans. Australia Boots Israeli in Controversy Over Assassination
By Terence Neilan - AOL News(May 24) -- Australia today ordered the expulsion of an Israeli diplomat over the use of four fake Australian passports in the assassination of a key Hamas official in Dubai in January. The decision follows a similar action taken by the U.K. in March after London said 12 forged British passports were used in the plot to kill Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in a Dubai hotel room.
