Massachusetts elections

Massachusetts

After capturing the Senate seat held for decades by the late Democratic icon Ted Kennedy in January's special election, Republicans are looking to score another big win in traditionally blue Massachusetts. The governor's race is a tossup, with Democratic incumbent Deval Patrick facing two challengers -- Republican Charlie Baker and Democrat-turned-Independent Tim Cahill. The 10th District House seat is open as Bill Delahunt retires after seven terms, but it's expected to remain Democratic, as are the nine others in the Bay State. Obama won Massachusetts in 2008.
