Nevada

The Senate's top Democrat is in the fight of his political life against a tea party favorite. Sharron Angle, who beat the Republican establishment's candidate in the primary to win her party's nomination, faces Majority Leader Harry Reid, who is seeking his fifth term in the Senate.Reid's son, Rory, is running for governor against Brian Sandoval, a rising Hispanic star in the GOP who beat scandal-plagued incumbent Gov. Jim Gibbons in the primary. One of Nevada's three House incumbents is in a tight race. In the 3rd District, freshman Democrat Dina Titus faces a strong challenge from Republican Joe Heck. Obama won Nevada in 2008.
