New Jersey elections

New Jersey

There are no contests for governor or senator in the Garden State this year, but all 13 members of Congress are running for re-election. The most competitive contest could be in the 3rd District. Freshman Democrat John Adler is up against Republican Jon Runyan, a former NFL player, in a swing district that narrowly went for Obama in 2008 but was represented by a Republican for more than a decade before Adler took office. Obama won New Jersey in 2008.
