President Obama Shares Birthday Celebration With Helen Thomas

The White House isn't saying how the president will be celebrating, though he is meeting with the Senate Democratic Caucus, which sounds like a party. In a move sure to receive cries of "socalism!" from his critics, Obama redistributed his birthday cupcakes. He shares a birthday with veteran White House reporter Helen Thomas, a columnist with Hearst Newspapers. During the morning briefing, Obama appeared with cupcakes and led the press corps in singing "Happy Birthday" to Thomas, who turns 89. Obama told her: "I will leave it up to you, ...
