GOP Congressman Peter Hoekstra has an article in the WSJ entitled, "Islam and Free Speech." The impetus for Hoekstra's piece is the upcoming release of Dutch political leader Geert Wilders' critical film on Islam. The film, Fitna, apparently contains several images which Muslims are bound to find offensive. The House of Representatives passed a bill barring the CIA from using waterboarding in its interrogations of terrorist detainees on a close vote yesterday. The measure passed 222-199, far short of the 2/3 majority needed to override a presidential veto.
