Hillary the Decider?

Hillary the Decider?

On yesterday's Clinton campaign conference call, I was particularly struck by this exchange, abridged slightly, between Slate's John Dickerson and Clinton spokesman Phil Singer: Dickerson: The expertise that Senator Clinton is claiming on the economy seems kind of at odds with the fact that you've got a broad ideologically-diverse group of experts who basically panned this idea of lifting the gas tax and one of the reasons they panned it is that they don't believe that the money is going to regular folks is actually going to happen. Update! Clinton Camp: Obama Oil Ad a Crude Lie

The Hillary Clinton campaign responded to Barack Obama's new ad, below, with a statement characterizing the ad as "false advertising":Phil Singer: "It's unfortunate that Senator Obama is using false advertising to explain why he can be trusted to do something about energy prices. "And people could actually ...

Clinton Camp: Obama Throwing Bombs

In a conference call today, among other things, top Clinton adviser Phil Singer had this characterization of Barack Obama's recent campaign tactics: "The Obama campaign is throwing as many bombs as possible."It was a remarkable characterization from a campaign that has been throwing at Obama, in the words of Keith Olbermann, among others, "Everything but the kitchen sink." To me, the word choice was equally stunning in the context of email smears that have been going around about Senator Obama alleging that he's some sort of closet jihadist, and Senator Clinton's open-ended denial that Obama ...
