Haiti Is Shaken Again by 6.1 Aftershock
By David Sessions - Politics DailyA strong aftershock hit Haiti on Wednesday morning just as much-needed aid was scheduled to arrive, CNN reports. The country has experienced a number of aftershocks since the original earthquake hit last Tuesday, but today's was the strongest. It measured 6.1 on the Richter scale -- just slightly less than the original quake and powerful enough to be felt 125 miles from Port-au-Prince. No injuries or deaths were reported, but a strong aftershock can pose a serious danger to a city where many damaged buildings have been teetering precariously.
