Jim Gibbons in the race for the GOP gubernatorial nomination and he has a 15 point cushion in a general election match-up against Democrat Rory Reid, according to a Mason-Dixon Research poll conducted April 5-7 for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. In the GOP contest, Sandoval is leading the scandal-scarred Gibbons 39 percent to 25 percent, with 7 percent for former North Las Vegas Mayor Michael Montandan and 29 percent undecided.
