Bush era, are seeing circulation declines now that a Democrat is back in the White House. In President Obama's first year in office, the three leading liberal publications -- The Nation, Mother Jones and Harper's -- lost readers at rates up to three times that of the overall magazine industry, which saw circulation drop by 2.23 percent.
