Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari announced that the two countries have reached a preliminary agreement on a time line for U.S. combat troop withdrawal from Iraq. According to the agreement, all U.S. combat forces will be out of Iraq by the end of 2011, a little less than three and a half years from now. The role of U.S. forces inside Iraq will change as well.
