How real is the "fake-news" these days? Real enough to land "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart atop the list of most-trusted newscaster in America "now that Walter Conkrite has passed on." Going up against the big three network anchors -- Katie Couric, Brian Williams and Charlie Gibson -- Stewart handily beat his competition. In a Time magazine online poll of about 9,000 people, 44 percent said the comedian was the best source for trustworthy news, while 29 percent gave that honor to Williams, 19 percent named Gibson, and just 7 percent voted for Couric. ...
John Ziegler, the provocateur behind "Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Sarah Palin was Targeted," tried to cover attendees of the Walter Cronkite Awards Dinner, but was met with forcible resistance. Campus police at USC set up a barricade for Ziegler that would have prevented him from having access to attendees.
