Tommy Thompson should Thompson choose to jump into Wisconsin's senate race, according to a Daily Kos/Research 2000 poll conducted March 22-24. Eight percent are undecided and the margin of error is 4 points. Two other recent surveys -- Public Policy Polling and Rasmussen Reports --have shown the race to be close with Feingold ahead in one and Thompson in the other, but both by amounts within the margins of error. Russ Feingold with a slim 47 percent to 44 percent lead over Thompson with 9 percent undecided, according to a Public Policy Polling survey conducted March 20-21. The margin of error is 3.7 points.
