Michaele Salahi Kicked Off 'Celebrity Rehab' for Not Being Addicted to Anything

There are just a few key requirements for appearing on "Celebrity Rehab." One: be a celebrity (or at least someone whose name has been in the news for one reason or another). Two: be addicted to something. Three: be able to withstand large doses of Dr. Drew. Seems Michaele Salahi failed to meet the second of these criteria. People reports that the "Real Housewives of Washington, D.C." star has been booted from "Rehab" because she doesn't have an addiction, although she has said she suffers from stress and multiple sclerosis. In a statement released to the magazine, VH1 said that "Celebrity ...

Mike Starr, the original Alice in Chains bassist who suffered a long battle with heroin addiction, was found dead on Tuesday. He was 44. Starr's body was discovered at a private residence in Salt Lake City, but the cause of death remains unknown. "There is nothing to indicate that this was foul play by another individual," said authorities, according to The Guardian. Charlie Sheen Interview Quotes: The 10 Most Insane Things He's Said So Far [VIDEOS]

So much crazy, so little time. Charlie Sheen, as you may have heard, has been running around saying lots of wacky things since last week's radio interview with Alex Jones, in which he lashed out at "Two and a Half Men" producer Chuck Lorre (and Thomas Jefferson, who's not involved with the show). We've collected 10 of our favorite, if that's the right word, Sheen quotes from recent days. 1. "I am on a drug, it's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available, 'cause if you try it once, you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body." From "20/20" ...

Gadhafi, Galliano and Sheen: What's With Them?

They're three men who have converged in the current news cycle: One rambles about goddesses and porn stars, another spews anti-Semitic rants, and the third claims the people he is bombing "love me." Although actor Charlie Sheen, fashion designer John Galliano and Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi have enjoyed levels of success and fame unfathomable to most people, their recent antics -- from allegedly shouting racist insults in a Paris bar (Galliano) to denying the existence of anti-government protests in Libya (Gadhafi) -- could cost them dearly. But is there something wrong with the men, ...

Opinion: Why Not Discriminate Against Smokers?

The New York Times reports that "more hospitals and medical businesses in many states are adopting strict policies that make smoking a reason to turn away job applicants." MS Sufferer Relieves Pain by Giving

Laughter is supposed to be the best medicine, but Cami Walker is discovering that giving to others also has benefits. Back in 2006, Walker was in her early 30s, living in San Francisco with her fiance and immersed in a job she found challenging but enjoyable. In fact, aside from the occasional tingling and numbness in her limbs, and fatigue that several doctors said was just stress, she loved her life. However, a mere month after her wedding, these symptoms became unbearable. She lost the use of her hands, then her vision in one eye. After test after test after test, Walker was told she had ...

Meet the Woman Who Eats Couch Cushions

Compulsions drive people to do very strange and unusual things. But eating couch cushions? That may very well be the strangest yet. Adele, a 30-year-old woman from Bradenton, Fla., recently came forward on a TV show about her bizarre taste for foam materials. The woman is featured on the TLC program "My Strange Addiction" munching on bite-sized pieces of sofa stuffing -- and even going so far as to prepare snack-sized servings of couch cushions. The show has already highlighted people who are addicted to tanning booths, ventriloquism and rock collecting, and others who eat any manner of ...
