A Severed Pig's Head, a Friend's Dead Body and Other Things Not to Bring to a Soccer Game

You can add the dead guy at a pro game in Colombia last weekend to a list of crazy behavior by soccer fans at games. In the now infamous story, fans in Colombia stole the body of a murdered friend from a funeral home and took his corpse to the stadium to cheer on their favorite team -- a whole new twist on Pro Zombie Soccer. Christopher Jacome, 17, was shot and killed on Saturday while playing soccer in his local park. The following day, friends took his coffin and carried it into the 42,000-capacity General Santander Stadium in Cucuta for a match between Cucuta Deportivo and Envigado. It ...

Germany Knew Eichmann's Hiding Place Years Before Capture

After 15 years on the run, justice finally caught up with Adolf Eichmann on May 11, 1960. The Nazi war criminal -- who organized the deportation of millions of Jews to death camps in German-occupied Poland -- was kidnapped outside his Buenos Aires home by Mossad agents and brought to trial in Israel. He was found guilty of crimes against humanity and hanged in 1962. But Eichmann's capture needn't have been so long in the making. German newspaper Bild this weekend published a secret service document that revealed West German intelligence officials knew about his Argentine hideout as early as ...

Thieves Tunnel Into Argentina Bank Vault, Grab Deposit Boxes

Thieves in Argentina have made off with more than 130 safety deposit boxes from a bank vault after spending months digging a 100-foot tunnel from an adjacent building. The heist is believed to have taken place on New Year's Eve while the bank was closed, but it was discovered only when employees returned to work after the long weekend. Authorities described the tunnel as very sophisticated, with electricity and ventilation inside. "It was a really impressive job," Argentine prosecutor Martin Niklison told the BBC. He said that it's believed there were at least three burglars and that ...

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina -- A magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck a rural area of northern Argentina Saturday morning, but its epicenter was so deep that it gave only a light shake to towns nearby. Kirchner's Death Is 'Game Changer' for Argentina

(Oct. 28) -- The sudden death of former Argentine President Nestor Kirchner, long favored to take the presidential reins from his wife when her term ends in 2012 just as she did from him in 2007, has flung open the doors to next year's presidential election in Argentina.
