Crews Clean Up Train Tanker Leaking Acid in Colo.

MONUMENT, Colo. -- A hydrochloric acid spill forced hundreds of residents of a town just north of the U.S. Air Force Academy to spend a day away from home while crews transferred the dangerous chemical from a leaking train tanker to a safe container. But this Don Quixote of the ET set is asking the U.S. government to allow him to build a giant pyramid on top of Pikes Peak in Colorado -- to be used by both humans and aliens. One Year Later, Family Still Awed by Miracle Recovery of Mom, Baby

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Strangers sometimes ask if they can touch 1-year-old Coltyn Hermanstorfer on the head or take his photo after he and his mother, Tracy, recovered from a near-death experience during childbirth last Christmas Eve. "People feel that he is, like, somehow connected right directly with God," said Coltyn's father, Mike Hermanstorfer. Mike Hermanstorfer isn't convinced of that - "We'll find that out later in life," he said - but he has no doubt it was a miracle, and he understands if others want to get as close to it as they can. "I'm not going to deny anybody," he ...

Sexual Assault Reports Increase at Military Academies

(Dec. 15) -- Reported sexual assaults at the military's three academies increased dramatically in the 2009-2010 academic year, but those cases are likely only a fraction of the number of attacks that actually occur, the Pentagon said today. The unusual feature was part of the magazine's regular "Metrogrades" rankings of various ...
