Air Force: Probe of Nuke Missiles Glitch Nearing End

(Nov. 9) -- A review of last month's nuclear mishap in which the Air Force lost communications with nuclear-tipped intercontinental ballistic missiles should be completed within the next few weeks, a senior Air Force officer said today. An operational review board's investigation into the incident should be complete in the next two to three weeks, Lt. Gen Frank Klotz, commander of the Air Force Global Strike Command, told reporters, adding that he expected the root cause to be a hardware issue.
