Giuliani's Daughter Gets 1 Day of Community Service

Membrino - AOL News(Aug. 31) -- The daughter of former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani agreed in court today to one day of community service in return for having her shoplifting charges dismissed. Louis Lanzano, AP Caroline Giuliani, 20, arrives at Manhattan criminal court on Tuesday. Judge Jennifer Schecter told 20-year-old Caroline Giuliani to "stay out of trouble and avoid re-arrest," noting that the charges will be dismissed if she doesn't run afoul of the law again over the next six months, ABC News reported. Obama Honoring 13 Citizens Medal Winners at White House
By Alex Wagner - Politics DailyThe White House has announced the winners of this year's Citizens Medal, an honor established in 1969 to recognize Americans who have performed "exemplary deeds of service for their country or their fellow citizens." According to the official press release, this year President Obama chose to recognize people "whose work has had a significant impact on their communities but may not have garnered national attention."
