By Katie Drummond - Politics DailySwedish home decor company Ikea is voluntarily recalling over 3 million window treatments. The recall, announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSP), is due to strangulation risk. What exactly is being recalled? Roman shades, roll-up blinds and certain varieties of roller blinds (those without tension devices), sold anywhere in the U.S between 1998 and 2009. Why? Cords and loops on all three products pose a strangulation risk to children, and the recall was spurred by a report of a 1 1/2 year old Massachusetts boy who nearly choked on one.
