(Nov. 11) -- Obesity is often thought of as a Western problem brought on by prosperity. But as fortunes rise in developing nations and more and more people begin to adopt an American-style diet, American-style health problems are spreading as well. In a report from the Lancet medical journal, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development found that obesity levels are rising throughout developing countries -- up to 50 percent of adults in a group of nations that includes Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa and Mexico.
