Bill Clinton, Anthony Hopkins and Drew Carey, three men whose names have rarely been used in the same sentence, have all embarked on strict diets that have resulted in headline-grabbing physical changes. Their shrinking waistlines come at a time when more and more Americans are fighting the battle of the bulge. According to a study released this week by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, 75 percent of all U.S. residents will be either obese or overweight by 2020, making the United States the world's fattest country.

Lisa Larkin recalls the statement like it was yesterday, even though her husband, Jay, made it nearly a decade ago.
"Jay said that pork chops would be growing on the palm trees of Tel Aviv before Mike Tyson would be allowed to fight on HBO," said Lisa Larkin of Jay, a former Showtime senior vice president who spent 22 years with the network until November of 2005.
But Jay Larkin, who died Monday at age 59, was among those that made it happen in June of 2002, being instrumental in the union of Showtime -- which had Tyson -- and HBO, which had Lennox Lewis.
