(May 28) -- An experimental new method, called "genetic silencing," could wipe out the deadly Ebola virus. Developed by a research team at Boston University, the approach completely eradicated Ebola infections among a test group of monkeys, and scientists anticipate similar results among humans. Genetic silencing works by snipping segments of RNA from samples of a given virus, and then packaging them into particles.
