More than 2 1/2 years since media outlets first asked for access to former Gov. Sarah Palin's e-mails, officials in Alaska have requested yet another postponement in making the documents public. Palin's former staff at the governor's office said it needs until May 31 to release the nearly 25,000 e-mails, MSNBC reported Tuesday. MSNBC was among several news organizations -- including The Associated Press and Pro Publica -- that asked to see the e-mails after Palin was recruited by Sen. John McCain to be his vice presidential candidate in 2008. Under Alaska law, public records must be made ...
(Nov. 15) -- "Seriously guys, we are not trying to destroy e-mail, but if that happens, oh well," was the underlying message of today's Facebook media event in San Francisco. A number of the e-mails improperly deleted from White House servers were related to the Iraq war and the investigation into the ...

For a few, the yawn morphs into a sneer. In the comment section of the Guardian, Harris was upbraided for his sycophancy: "You write informed pieces about Detroit and then end up writing this dreadful crap about the Clinton daughter. Were you hoping ...
Computer technicians have recovered 22 million e-mails missing from the Bush administration, according to two government transparency groups that filed lawsuits against the Executive Office of the President, the Huffington Post reports. The suits focused on the Bush administration's failure to install an electronic record-keeping system, and the Obama administration is now searching for more messages possibly lost during the Bush years. The e-mails "would never have been found but for our lawsuits and pressure from Capitol Hill," said Anne Weismann, chief counsel for Citizens for ...
