High-Heeled Legos: The Snappiest Snap-Together Shoes You'll Ever Wear

A pair of playful stilettos can make a woman feel young again -- especially if those high heels are covered in tiny toys from her childhood. Last month, British artist Finn Stone unveiled one seriously funky fashion accessory at the Affordable Art Fair in London: a pair of stilettos covered in hundreds of colorful little Lego blocks. Stone, best known for his quirky design work in fiberglass furniture, told AOL News that he went outside the box with his latest art project because, frankly, he wanted to play with Legos. Will Dior Cancel the John Galliano Fashion Show on Sunday?

Disgraced designer John Galliano reportedly was at an Arizona rehab facility today on the eve of Christian Dior's fall 2011 show as the storied fashion house worried about boycotts of Galliano's own show this weekend. Galliano was Dior's star designer for 14 years, and a separate show for his own label is set for Sunday. It looms just days after Galliano's spectacular flame-out over allegedly making anti-Semitic remarks while apparently under the influence of alcohol. Jason Kempin, Getty Images Dior fired designer John Galliano after he allegedly made anti-Semitic remarks. Now the ...

Capping a five-day whirlwind of scandal around the designer, the prosecutors said he will face allegations of "public insults based on the origin, religious affiliation, race or ethnicity" against three people. The news came shortly after the talented ...

Myanmar's Strongman Appears on TV in Women's Clothing

So you think Libya leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi is nuts? You might also want to try Myanmar's repressive head of state, Senior Gen. Than Shwe. For a recent televised ceremony, the 78-year-old boss of Asia's most authoritarian regime ditched his army dress uniform in favor of, more simply, a woman's skirt. Than Shwe appeared at a national holiday event last month wearing a woman's sarong -- or acheik -- and got the country talking. That is, as much as people can talk in an oppressed society. Khin Maung Win, AP Myanmar's top leader, Senior Gen. Than Shwe, right, greets guests ...

Oscars Red Carpet: The 5 Worst Dresses and Outfits of All Time [PHOTOS]

With the 83rd Academy Awards just a few days away, it's time to train for one of America's favorite pastimes: spotting red-carpet disasters. There are a lot -- seriously, a lot -- of sartorial offenders for your consideration, but we've narrowed it down to five that truly take the prize. 1. Demi Moore, 1989 For some reason the bike shorts-lace bustier-grandma's drapes-sheer black hose look never caught on. For some reason. Jim Smeal, WireImage Demi Moore attends the Oscars at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on March 29, 1989. 2. Billy Bob Thornton, 1997 We get it, Billy ...

Female Politicians Earn Place in Fashion World

Female Politicians Earn Place in Fashion World

They say clothes make the man, but when it comes to politics, the only real "power dressers" are the women of that world: first ladies and female politicians. Think about it. We're constantly gossiping about what first lady Michelle Obama is wearing, but we seldom explore -- or even care about -- President Barack Obama's fashion choices. Unless, of course, he's frolicking topless on a beach. According to Robb Young, author of the new book "Power Dressing: First Ladies, Women Politicians & Fashion," this occurs because the feminine wardrobe is far more varied, vibrant and memorable than ...

Donna Karan's DKNY Fall 2011 Collection Gets Mixed Reviews, PETA Protest

New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and legendary designer Donna Karan is drawing praise, criticism and protest for her fall 2011 collections. She's showing her Donna Karan New York line this afternoon, but reviews are already in for her career-girl-friendly DKNY collection, which came down the runway Sunday. FabSugar approved: Karan envisioned fuzzy angora sweaters in bright hues and bold stripe patterns, houndstooth suits and skirts, wide-leg trousers, skinny pencil pants and tailored coats. It was the details, like a recurring tux stripe detail or contrast color inserts, which gave ...

Kate Middleton Dethrones Lady Gaga as Top Fashionista

Lady Gaga has reigned as pop culture's most-talked-about queen of vogue for a few years, but the freaky fashion icon has been dethroned -- by a future princess, to boot. The Global Language Monitor, a company that tracks and analyzes word usage trends around the world, has just released its annual list of "Top Fashion Buzzwords" featuring the hottest topics and styles being discussed on today's fashion scene. The No. 1 buzzword is none other than "Kate Middleton," who's been thrust into the style spotlight ever since her engagement to Prince William was announced in November. Knock-offs of ...
