Business is apparently booming for a "talent" agency representing the purported ex-lovers of celebrities. Launched by former porn star Gina Rodriguez, the probably suitably named DD Entertainment is reaping rewards from the extramarital activity of stars such as golf champion Tiger Woods and actor Mel Gibson. Los Angeles-based DD Entertainment says it specializes in remaking the images of people caught in notorious situations and circumstances. Michael Goulding, Orange County Register / MCT Gina Rodriguez is the CEO of DD Entertainment, a talent agency that specializes in ...
It came as no surprise that Natalie Portman won the Golden Globe for portraying Nina Sayers in Darren Aronofsky's "The Black Swan," and it seems likely that she'll pirouette away with the Academy Award, too. If she does, no actress since Jane Wyman won for "Johnny Belinda" will have been Oscared for stringing together so few coherent (or even audible) lines of dialogue. Repressed and whispery and not very articulate is our Nina, and who can blame her? Her life is a living hell. She's bedevilled by a monster mother, a couple of jealous colleagues -- one of whom is a shape-shifter and a ...

In her role as Phyllis "Beaver" Eklund, Kate ...

Most people remember Clayburgh for her 1978 breakout film "An Unmarried Woman," for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. In the 1970s, women didn't know quite where they stood. Go back just a few years, and Marilyn Monroe was alive and making movies. But it was still a dozen years before Thelma & Louise would rebel and roar off into the sunset. Even further into the future were Angelina Jolie and Uma Thurman shooting, ...

On the entertainment front, things have been a bit quiet in the hockey world for the last few years. Since Miracle was released in 2004, we haven't really had much to talk about save for the Love Guru, which is a movie this blogger would like to forget. There was also an amazing episode of South Park, but otherwise there hasn't been much hockey related goodness coming from the entertainment industry. With the help of screenwriter John Rice, that may soon change. Rice is the man responsible for writing Chasers, The Calling and Windtalkers. In his directorial debut, Rice will help film a movie ...
