(Aug. 19) -- A Muslim woman who works as a hostess at a Disneyland restaurant alleged Wednesday the theme park would not allow her to appear in front of customers while wearing her head scarf. Imane Boudlal, 26, appeared outside the resort's Grand Californian Hotel after filing a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She said when she wore the hijab to work Sunday, her supervisors told her to remove it, work where customers couldn't see her, or go home. Boudlal, who wore the scarf in observance of Ramadan, chose to go home but reported to work ...
(Feb. 26) -- A 19-year-old woman says she lost her job at a popular clothing store after refusing to remove her Muslim head scarf. When Hani Khan, who was born in New York and is of Indian and Pakistani descent, interviewed for a job at a Hollister store at a mall in San Mateo, Calif., she was wearing a traditional Muslim hijab, or head scarf. "The manager mentioned the store's 'look policy' and said I'd have to wear either a white, navy or gray-colored scarf," Khan told AOL News. "I was fine with that." French President Nicolas Sarkozy also recently caused a stir ...

This picture, taken in 2006, is of Barack Obama in Kenya during a five-country tour of Africa, donning the garb of a Somali elder while stopping in his father's native Kenya. The Clinton team, obviously taking advantage of the internet-based fearmongering about Obama's paternal ties to Islam, has not denied putting this out, but as of this writing has not offered any comment. The Obama camp reacted quickly (via ...
Some of Hillary Clinton's campaign staffers over the weekend apparently circulated photos of a "dressed" Barack Obama, reports Drudge. Click here to see the photos. The story is still developing. And by "dressed," I mean Obama is fitted as a Somali elder during a visit to Wajir, a rural area in northwest Kenya, taken during a five-country tour of Africa. Drudge obtained an e-mail from the Clinton camp staffer saying: "Wouldn't we be seeing this on the cover of every magazine if it were HRC?" (HRC stands for Hillary Rodham Clinton). Obama campaign manager David Plouffe today accused the Clinton ...
