Think White Album. Think Tom Wolfe. Think iPhone.
That last one may require a little patience.
The iPhone comes in black, but Apple has been promising a white model since early last summer when it released the iPhone 4.
Last fall, bloggers teased Apple fans with photos of snow-white iPhones and indicators that they were ready for order, a rumor Apple quickly squelched.

Sources tell The Wall Street Journal that Apple is developing a smaller, cheaper version of the iPhone -- call it the "iPhone nano," if you will.
Last week TechCrunch and Bloomberg reported hearing similar rumors. Now the WSJ has heard from insiders who have seen prototypes that the new device would cost about half as much as a regular iPhone and be half as large.
