(Sept. 21) -- Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle says he plans to move forward with the process of removing a district attorney from office who has admitted to sending lewd text messages to a domestic abuse victim. "I believe the process for removal needs to get going and get going immediately," the governor told ABC's "Good Morning America" today. Calumet County District Attorney Kenneth Kratz went on medical leave indefinitely Monday, after apologizing for sending dozens of text messages to a woman whose ex-boyfriend is accused of almost choking her to death. By David Knowles - AOL News(July 27) -- U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan's office today announced the finalists in the Department of Education's Race to the Top contest to fund state school programs. In the first round of funding awards that took place in March, Delaware won $100 million and Tennessee won $500 million. Still at stake is $3.4 billion in funds that could help states reeling from the recession help close substantial budget gaps.
